Communication Breakdown

I share an office with two other people. One of them sits about three foot to my left, one of them three foot to my right. We seem to communicate to each other more via this web site. Why is this? Why can't we talk like normal people or are we infact the normal ones? p.s. Don't ask who my colleague's are as it will only ruin all of our fun. Only we know the answer. Who's turn is to make the coffee?
