Why do pound signs show up as a square on here ??

How come when you write a pound sign on here in the question thingy, it comes out as a square ???

it doesn't??
are your computers regional settings all set correctly to UK English and not American english

Start menu > settings > control panel > regional settings and check everything is set to UK and not American (which windows defaults to unless you tell it otherwise)

It works in this section but when you look at the recent posts and people are asking about crosswords, it shows up as a little square ! warpig seems to understand what I mean.

Jillius, I popped over to quizzes and puzzles and there is defo � signs in some of the titles. Maybe the people posting the square's are americans, I dont really know.

Yeah, I see what you mean cos someone else is asking a similar question. When you refresh the recent posts it appears normal but then goes back to squares again ! Weird ! Glad you know what I'm on about though lol
