About to start clearing out the house...
19 Answers
...in order to pack for moving (provisionally got a new job!)...How much cr@p can one small house hold? My goodness me, we have all sorts of gubbins!
So if you don't hear from me for a while, it will because it is taking me the fortnight until the move to box up!

hey warpig :) I know just what you mean! Unfortumately, I am the purchaser of 'useful' things in this household. That said, Mr Pops buys all sorts of pointless cr@p too!
We aren't hoarders, and I do try to get rid of whatever we have that isn't 'useful or beautiful' (who said that?) but still, there is so much! Some stuff I am loathe to leave behind, as most of my possessions have sentimental value.
So is your move a big one? Time for a change? Lots of luck! x

I'm well LEELA, hope the move goes smoothly, ( it never does )it's more stressful than divorce, but that's probably cos Iv'e done divorce more often ,
WARPIG, mr Warpig sounds like a man after my own heart, Iv'e had a garage full of stuff that'l come in handy, for over 20 years, but at least the drive came in handy for putting the car on, :-)

moonshadow, thanks for that :) I am (if all goes well; I don't want to speak too soon as my appointment is reliant on good references!) moving up to the north of Cumbria, where I used to live, from the South of Cumbria, where I live now. I graduate in July, so I am pleased to have found full time work already. Part-time just isn't sustaining me! Thanks for asking.
logic, you make me smile :) Man of hidden warm heart :) (Sounds like the first line of a haiku).
You never know when you might need those curling irons, or that crimping machine, or the vice tht's missing a side.

lovely mamma, hello-I asked after you in a thread from early this morning (don't remember which though!); glad we caught up :)
Yes it's certainly all go here, but hopefully worth the initial upheaval to find 3 further years of happiness at least! I am just on the edge of my seat, having to wait until Monday to find out whether it's a definite yay or nay! And (did I say?) I found out from my current manager that if the post is mine they would like me in a fortnight...As opposed to 4 weeks, as I had planned! Eeek!
How are you, love, health-wise and happiness-wise?
xx

Oh mamma, I hope you are right as rain again soon. Funnily enough, I hve been coughing for nigh-on a fortnight, so I saw the doc eventually yesterday, and I have acute bronchitis. Antibiotics for me!
No boxes yet: thank goodness Mr Pops works in Tesco; all the boxes we need there! Can't believe Argos sell cardboard boxes and tape!! Rip-off!
This is mainly speculation, as I won't settle until I am offered the job officially, but everyone keeps saying "oh it's yours, it's yours"!
