Is it a case of the higher the number setting, the lower the temperature, or the other way around?

The higher the number - the colder the fridge

Cheers JD, as I thought.
Think I'll have to get a fridge thermometer though, beer's not quite as chilled as I like it.

if the freezer is needing to be defrosted & it's part of the fridge, it can effect the fridge part so get defrosting if it needs it!

I usually alter my fridge setting in summer and winter.
