Almost teenage birthday parties

Have any of you clever people any ideas for a 12yr old girl`s birthday party? Too old for "pass the parcel" type, cinema too pricey, trip to the coast too expensive [petrol], B/Q too reliant on good weather.We are at our wits end , HELP! Nita

Hire a kareoke machine and have a pop party with disco lights and such?

Thanks Jenna, thats one I would have gone for but the problems solved, she`s going to hold it in an adventure theme park close to where we live,death slides etc!

Having a typical girlie night always goes down well.
If they can sleep over even better. You don't have to spend alot but if you can buy some bits of make up then they can give each other a makeover, get their nails done and do their hair.

Finished off with a dvd and some treats they are sure to enjoy it. It is always a winner with my daughter.

For my daughter's 13th we had a nail & beauty party. A lady from the local beauty salon came & gave the girls manicures & a makeup session.
