Sick Pay
Hello, my employer refuses to pay any sick pay. This means that everytime I am off work due to illness, I get docked a days pay. Are there any laws against this?

Ethel is right as always about statutory sick pay(SSP). And occupational sick pay is usually discretionary.

I am not 100% certain what point grumpy80 is trying to make but admittance to hospital does not reduce the qualifying period for SSP nor does it cause a non-existent OSP scheme to suddenly appear.
