Hi
AOL has sent me a quicker connection to download, and was off line for over a week. They helped me back on line, but I do not have my favourites, or address book anymore. Is there anyone out there that can help me please?
I hope that when I close down, I will be able to get back on line again. Twice I have closed down, and lost my modom connection in the last week.
Thanks for any help sent.

You need to perform these Steps Offline (AOL Should be completely Closed)
Step 1:
Go to Start -> Search -> then select Search for Files or Folders -> Type in your screenname for example "abcxyz" of which the PFC (Emails Saved on PC) has been lost in Search for Files or folders named box also select "C- Drive" in look in option and then Click on Search,
STEP 2:
After the search is complete you may receive many files double click on Size (sort the file by size) at the top and copy the file with the maximum size without any extension for example you need to copy the file "abcxyz" and not "abcxyz.exe" or "abcxyz.abi" etc.
STEP3:
After you have copied the file , paste the file file on Desktop,
If your AOL is still have AOL open close AOL completely as you need to perform the steps offline.(Note: Save these steps in a text file or print them before closing AOL.)
Right click on the AOL icon you use to start AOL and click on Properties, this can be done from your desktop or the Start menu.
An AOL Properties window will open and on the 'Shortcut' tab you will see the location of the AOL folder for that version.
Click on Find Target, which will open the AOL folder where your Organize folder is stored. (Windows XP users may see a 'System Information' option instead of Properties, simply click on the System Information tab, then click on the Folder button, which will open the AOL folder.)
Search for the folder named "Shortcut to Organise" Double click on this folder and then copy and paste the file that you have on the Desktop Eg. "abcxyz" , Once you choose paste You will be asked if you would like to replace the existing file, click Yes.
Now sign on to AOL -> Go to Read -> Manage email -> Saved on my PC , Incoming/Saved Email etc. You will now have all your PFC (Emails Saved on PC) back.
For More Details you can go to Keyword:PFC HELP
Hope this helps, It normally works.I would recommend you PRINT THIS OFF FIRST.

Thank you for all the help you sent. I am still having trouble with aol, and am being unplugged all the time. The sooner I change the better. I have printed off your reply and will go through it very carefully. Sorry for the delay in thanking you, it wasn't that I didn't try.
