Would someone be good enough to tell me the popular (and unpopular) veterinary trade publications in the UK?

There are loads!

The 'Vet Record' is a weekly journal with roundups of current disease stats, latest scientific articles, letters and jobs. 'In Practice' is from the same place and has articles on practical stuff like disease presentations, practice management and ethics amongst others.

The Veterinary Times is a weekly magazine/journal and covers mainly news, with a few articles on certain diseases and conditions, and letters. All three cover all animal species.

There are many others that specialise in certain areas, e.g. the Pig Vet Journal, the Government vet Journal, Small Animal ones, Equine journal, Farm animal journals, ones for pathology, ones for cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology etc.
