Hi, i'm stuck on a number puzzle, can anyone help, please.
Which number gives the same answer, whether you add 6 to it, or multiply it by 6?

Any number can do this. The most popular being 2+2= and so does 2x2.

3 + 1 1/2 = 3 x 1 1/2
4 + 1 1/3 = 4 x 1 1/3
5 + 1 1/4 = 5 x 1 1/4
6 + 1 1/5 = 6 x 1 1/5
and so on...

Let your number be X

Then X + 6 = 6X

So 6 = 5X and X = 6/5 = 1.2
