was i being unethical - road accident ?

a fewc years ago . i had road traffic accident ,,, to cut the story shor , i never , gave the other party , my insurers details ..... he did obtain , my insurance details ,,, through an alternative source , when my insurers contacted me , i advised them (my insurers ) ., to desit from getting involved , as i said , the driver of my car , was insured on my policy .... was i being unethical , - I later put in a coutny courty summons against the other driver of the other vehicle which happened to be a LHD drive US car - my runaround was a german hatchback , which has no relevance, was i being unethical ?

i denied being the driver ,,,, apologies,,,
honesty is the best policy, thats all I will say on the matter. These things always find a way of bitting you on your backside in the end.
