diluting perfume?

I have a teeny tiny tester bottle of my favourite perfume that a friend gave me last year. I can't afford a proper size bottle, and I rarely use the tester because I'm scared of it running out. I'd like to put it into a body mist bottle, maybe dilute it. But I'm not sure if diluting it would work, or what I could dilute it with. Does anyone have any ideas?

Could you maybe try eBay to see if there are any more tester sizes for sale that you can afford? What's the perfume, by the way? I'm dying to know.

If you are going to dilute it, use a completely scent free oil - many shops like the Body Shop, for example, sell them as a base to which you add scented massage oils. Get a small jar with a screw on top. One of the ones that Clinique gives out samples of face creams in are ideal. Pour in a couple of tablespoons of oil then add the perfume and mix with a toothpick or something teeny. Keep it in the fridge to avoid evaporation.

NiceCupOfTea is right - try using an unscented oil, but for what you'd pay for the oil it might be worth looking on Ebay as there are quite a few for sale:

I feel really bad now :o(

People keep buying me perfume for my birthday / xmas, cos they don't know what else to get me I presume, but I never wear it. Just a couple of weeks ago I chucked out a stash of Poison - Tendre and Pure I believe? Why they always buy me variants of Poison I don't know, should I take a hint? ;o)

I could've posted it to you for nothing. Sorry!!! I would suggest ebay to get samples, and maybe a cheaper bottle. Or these 'duty free' type shops instead of Boots and other more expensive retailers.

Do you like any of the other types of Poison perfume? If you do I'll have a look what I've got left tonight and I'll happily post them to you!

You could also try adding a splash to some unscented body lotion

Mully that's very very sweet of you. I like all the Poisons, it's just that Pure is my favourite.
