Could he move back in?
9 Answers
Ex boyfriend moved out of my house a few months ago, house in my name only. He is trying to claim a beneficial interest from some of the equity, if he is successful can he force me to sell and would it give him an automatic right to move back into the property. He is trying to register a charge on the property, the figure he is asking for is far too much, but there is just no reasoning with him. If it gets as far as a hearing with the land registry will they be able to give a figure of how much he should have (if any) . My friends says they can't do this and if he does have an interest it will then have to go to court to find out how much he is entitled to. If this is right then would it be best if it went straight to court and avoided the land registry. Whilst he was living with me I paid off a couple of loans for him-which I can prove so would the LR take this into consideration. Thanks

thanks for replies, shelter site is very helpful ethal thank you. If he is succesful in his claim hopefully I can get a court order preventing him from coming in the house, as he was violent towards me and I have police reports on him as well as a crime ref no. still scary though. He says he will not go through the courts as he would have to pay and at least going through the land registry would not cost him anything!
just pay him what he rightly deserves!! obviously he lived with u for a long period of time....u probably wouldnt of let him live with u if he was not paying his way toward (your) home..loads of guys out there been left with nothing when the woman desides she wants half of everything...wot makes u so different?????? why try to worm ur way out of paying up? be reasonable and honest and hand it over!!!
thanks for all the help, locks have been changed. Ive also been in touch with a domestic violence helpline who have told me I can apply for a non molestation order. My ex actually works for probation service, don't suppose a non molestation order will look good on his records. He has already been formally wared under the harrassment act (this happened whilst he was in the probation service too).
