Thanks - I suspected Rifle was corrsct but the hell is 'Daffin'?

daff, according to my scots dictionary,is to act playfullyor foolishly, also daffin means foolish behaviour

collins english dictionary has daff- to frolic;play the fool pocket scots dictionary has daff- to actplayfully or foolishly,daffin -fun; foolish behaviour

Axman is right about daffin. I had already posted that it was a Scots word.
