"Key comments turn up beneath barrel (4)"
We all have ?L?G and the consensus seems to be that the answer is BLOG but why?

I would have said Plug. A plug is at the bottom of a barrel and a "Plug" is a key comment when advertising

Thanks, I've looked at all the previous responses and still don't get it. Someone has asked the same question under the "Crosswords" heading.

plug is also Gulp backward (turn up) if you were under a barrel you may just want a gulp. I'm probably way of the mark but to me it fits better than blog

It looks like BLOG to me.

turn = go (reversed)

This clue has bugged me during an hour long train journey from Manchester back to Liverpool !

I'm with you alan ( fellow BMS if I remember right ) , none of these explanations sound quite right.

As rapparee says bl is short for barrel, and turn equals go, but how does key comments equal blog ?

Thinking about it..............key comments - using the computer KEYboard to make comments ? Not a great clue, I think !

Thanks to all who answered - the answer came to me this morning and I looked up BL in Chambers - Rapparee has it right too.
