None of those carbs have much flavour in themselves but are good at absorbing flavourings from other foodstuffs (herbs and spices, sauces, curries etc etc). I simply add a little salt to the cooked quinoa and serve up with a tasty vegetable stew or curry.
i used the recipe on the pack and it was v nice indeed. gently fry 1 cup quinoa in tbsp olive oil, stir in 1tbsp of lemon zest. after couple of minutes add 3 cups orange juice and stir in mixed dried sultanas or currants or cranberries and simmer till liquid gone. i served it up with smoked trout and it worked really well.
