The best is the ultimate, they should say one of the "BETTER".

I see nothing wrong with the phrase. Best can mean 'having good qualities of the highest degree'. It does not have to be uniquely individual in intent. One can be the best of many and belong with the best.

There does not have to be only one. Its not Highlander.
