Cancelling sky
6 Answers
I want to cancel my Sky subscription and watch free channels if possible.
Can my existing Sky box / dish be used? How much will this cost me?
I have a Sky+ box. Will I still be able to record programmes?

A: All you need to gain access to the free channels available on the digital satellite platform is a Freesat from Sky viewing card, which costs just 20. If youd like to access the interactive services available, youll also need a working phone line. To purchase a viewing card please phone Sky on 08448 244 400.
Tell them you want to retain the Sky+ features and they will send you a different card and charge you 10 per month

We have a Sky box and dish but do NOT contribute to any of their channels. We are still left with about 150 free channels. We have now added Freesat to our reception. The same dish can be used but you can change the single LNB output to a quad LNB which gives 4 outputs. The Freesat SD box costs about 40 but if you want HD the box can cost up to 150.
