Rather than buy a Curry sauce in a can or a jar, has anyone got any curry sauce recipes that they can pass on please.
I have access to Herbs and Spices at my local ethnic food store.
Any ideas ?

We make a nice one which has:
A few Chicken pieces (thighs without skin)
1 tin Coconut cream
Single Cream
tinned tomatoes
fresh and dried Coriander
Parsley
Curry powder
Chilli's and chilli powder
Paprika
Salt
Pepper
All to taste then in a casserole dish for a5round an hour and half, makes a really rich sauce which goes with any type of meat and we buy a packet naan to have, it's great and tastes really authentic and is quick to make! Honestly, it's really nice!
Good luck

What is rather fun is to experiment. Fry in butter ghee until browned/burned a couple of onions and chopped garlic. These are pretty much common to all curries. Add a tin of tomatoes, simmer for a while, then let your smell and tastebuds take over. Add just whatever you like, go crazy from the spice rack. You may end up with a masterpiece, or you may, like me, conclude that Pataks have already done the trick.
Whatever you make, always sprinkle fresh coriander leaves over it immediately before serving. This is a little chef's trick.
If you create a curry based on okra, be sure you are not going too far from home the next morning. Curries are nectar !!
