Can anyone recommend some films they have seen recently, It would be good if one was a horror? I normally get two DVD's every Saturday night so I've seen loads! Ta

I got "The Others" out recently - its quite scary with a good twist at the end

My Little Eye will be out soon. It's a Big Brother-meets- slasher-film type thing, lowish budget, completely unknown cast, shot on digital and very, very good. Just like Blair Witch should have been but wasn't.

Have you seen Grosse Point Blank with John Cusack as a hitman going to his old school reunion. Wild film!

Hal, what is this film your talking about, can you give me a bit of background and how recent is it as my video store is pretty rubbish as far as stocking older films are concerned.

Happy to oblige Wee Kaz. Came out in 1997, directed by George Armitage, starring John Cusack and Minnie Driver. I recommend it because it was a film I hadn't heard about and I got it out because I like Cusack a lot. Its a black(ish) comedy and pretty stylish. I loved it but it may not be to everyones taste. I have looked at reviews since and it seems to have gone down pretty well. I would be interested in hearing what you think if you see it. Cheers!

Although not a horror movie, I highly recommend Vanilla Sky. A very surreal, thought provoking film.....rent it now, you have my permission. Jeepers Creepers mentioned above is pretty good, it's a good old fashion monster movie...good fun.
