Ho jonah -
Cotton sheets
A jug of iced water to put on the bedside table for a drink
small water spray bottle also with some ice in to spray over self with.
Those little mini fridges are good too, she could put some cool compresses in.

They say black cohosh a herbal remedy helps with menopausal syptoms!!!
hi jonah hart, i sympathise with your mother in law as i suffer terrible hot flushes especially at night, i use a small lavender cushion which i bought in boots and keep it in the fridge, i lay it on my forehead at night and it seems to keep me cool. hope this helps. :-)

Hello jonah hart , is there any reason why your mil isn't on hrt ? Has she been to discuss these symptoms with her gp hun ? x
Hi jonah - Suggest she treats herself to a 'Chillow' which will set her back 25 and will sleep like a baby.

Black Cohosh may have side-effects such as dizziness
If your mum in law wants natural help, I`d suggest she goes to have a chat a chat with someone at her local health shop. I take Black Cohosh & am fine with it, but not everything is suitable for everyone.

Thanks all for your advice,Iv written it all down and will pass it on to her,Iv not heard her talk about having lumps cleversod but will ask,She really doesant want to take hrt Bigmamma think she,s heard alot of bad things about it so wants to go au natural.... V funny noknowlegde x ,Thanks again xxx
why not have hrt, its brilliant and the doc will work with her till she gets one thats suits
The doctor can give her something for the hot flushes. But why doesn't she go on HRT? It will stop the flushes and help with brittle bone as well.
I had the same problem for many years. I then bought a "fanny magnet" (which is obviously not it's real name) from a Company called "Ladycare." It cost 19.95 and it's a 2-art magnet which you place over your "ovary-area" (one side goes on the outside of your knickers, the other on the inside). For me, and many of my friends, it has been a godsend. Prior to that, spent a fortune on a "Chillow", herbal remedies, etc., but none ever, ever worked as well as my trusty fanny magnet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give it a go. Good luck. xxx
Yeah! lol!
I have recommended black cohosh to friends who have found it as good as I have. No side effects. I take the black cohosh and liquorice which is very reasonably priced from Zipvit.
