7 Answers
I have a combined fridge/freezer - the fridge part is self defrost. Im having pools of defrosted water lying in the bottom of the fridge despite having ensured the drainaway hole isnt blocked etc Its now at the stage where I have a permanent wodge of kitchen roll to mop up the water. What can I do?

ah thanks for the tip re nothing touching the back wall:) I've not poked anything too long down the hole - I tried a meat skewer. Bit concerned as to ur remark "till it comes out the other end" - the other end whereeeee???? The fridge/freezer is built into the kitchen so it'd be helluva job getting it out to see the curtain wire emerge I think. But ur help is appreciated.
Might seem an odd suggestion, but if you have a spirit level handy? Check to make sure the fridge is level, if it's sloping forward, even slightly, it may stop the water flowing into the drainage hole. If its level I'm afraid you may find, as previous ABers have mentioned that your overflow pipe is blocked.
