Trusting grandparents with your children

I have just witnessed a todler fall backward of a pushchair. He was sitting on the cup holder bar piece facing a oldish lady. (assume grandma) with oldish man. He then fell backward smaking his head on the pavement. now screaming. I feel sick
What the F are belts for. Are they stupid !!!.
Bet they dont tell the Mum the truth later.
Arrrggggghhhh....call the csa...moan over.

Awful thing to happen! i hope the child is ok.

but whats the fact that may be grandparents got to do with it??

i trust my mum implicitly to look after my children, she brought 4 of her own up and actually says that you are even more careful with grandkids!!

I do so trust mine,,,,My thought was...does the mother of said child trust hers....well...I think they were irresponsible.
Could happen to anyone of us. Split second stupid moments.

It's there job to get money out of people not chase child abusers.
I hope the kid is ok. But then accidents do happen.

worse than that watch next time youre in town.when a woman pushing a buggy comes to a road they push the buggy out into the road then look to see if anythings coming !!!

But just watch.When i was a delivery driver , only for 6 yearsv , i was amazed no matter if in scotland or england how women do it .

Accidents happen and hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I consider myself to be a safety conscious parent but if social services knew about some of my mishaps over the years.....

When my eldest was little I took him and his newborn sister to the shops. Eldest boy was having a tantrum and ran off in a shop. I chased him, caught him, abandoned the outing and went home.
15 minutes later I ran back to the shop to collect the pram and my new daughter...I'd forgotten all about her.

Mrs O...I have heard that happen before...You must have felt terrible.
I remeber the story in USA of the woman who went to work & forgot to drop her child off at the nursery. Child was dead in the car at the end of the day.

Was probably my mum you just saw lol.

No, i trust my mum and dad to bits. Only thing i dont like is that my dad smokes (always away from my baby) so i cringe when he then touches my daughers face, so i have to keep telling him off!

But everyone makes mistakes and im sure they'd do nothing intentionally but i understand that sometimes common sense is lacking in some people.

I have noticed for a long time now that a lot of grandparents are involved with helping to look after there grandchildren.With the cost of childcare lots of parents depend on there parents to help out. I am one and I help my daughter out and I think I am more protective towards them than I was with my own children. I am not critising this question but if my grandson had a knock I would certainly tell his mother and even some mothers let stupid things happen to there children.
