Hi you all: I heard this lovely piece of music early one morning lying in bed, At the end the DJ mentioned something about Elizabethan Melody. I don't know if it was just from that time or if that is the title. Anyone know it?

Could it have been Elizabethan Serenade? Lots of versions available on youtube

It's a gorgeous little piece composed by Ronald Binge in 1951, so just before Elizabeth II's reign rather than Elizabeth I's.
