I'm sure there are lots of clever people out there who can explain a clue for me! I've finished the whole puzzle now and got the answer 'constellation' for 7 down. With the RT clues I often think I've got the answer, then am able to confirm it by studying the more cryptic element of the clue. I got Constellation from the stars part of the clue but just don't understand how the rest tof the clue fits. Can anybody put me out of my misery?

Hi Ladybyrne

A collation is a light meal (e.g. "cold collation" for uncooked snacks...)

Craftily 'sent' is the inserted anagram, hence:

co[nste]llation !

Sorry Squarebear - new to this site and just assumed the answer would come from someone who had already done the RT crossword.

Many thanks Sniffadogg for a speedy and informative answer. Never heard of collation being used to describe a light meal before, but it all makes sense now!!
