Not sure about Bournemouth...

Belinda Lang had to adopt a more cockney accent rather then her native middle class for a London suburb setting, I always thought it was set in Chiswick?

2.4 children was set in chiswick. In the late 80's they used our flat on Chiswick High Road to film across the road for a bus stop scene.
