Has anyone used the dent repair tools that you find on the web where you use suckers etc to pull the dent out? I have a 6cm wide dent (about 2cm depth) in my door that I would like to DIY it to save money. Any ideas on how to make the best repair? Thanks Dave

This kid of damage is not always as easy to rectify as one would imagine, for insance a dent like that has certainly stretched the metal, so in reality, if you pull the dent out, you could finish up with convex, where you initially had concave, if that makes any sense to you,
I personally would take the door panell off from the inside, and try and push it out gently, prefferably with somone pushing slightly against you with a large rag folded as to make a cushion, if that doesn't work you may be better getting help from someone who knows what theire doing, It all depends on the value of the car of course.
good luck.
