Barbara Shelley, probably unknown to most cb'ers, lived across the street from me when I was young. She was quite a famous film actress (and tv), known mainly for lead roles in Hammer horror pics. Most famously bitten on the neck by Christopher Lee!
With glamorous movie star looks she was very popular with the dads in our street... in that front gardens were attended to very frequently should she happen to walk by....
