Bought Version of AVG8.0

Hi,
Have finally got rid of my Norton's antivirus et al and the PC shop installed AVG8.0 which I'm still getting used to. However, as they installed it on their own network it hasn't registered mine. When I connect to the internet, the AVG Profiles box comes up and says it has detected a new network and I should type in the name of the network. Trouble is I don't know what to type in. I am with Orange broadband but not sure if I just type Orange in the box or a number for the network etc. If anyone can help me out with this one I'd be most grateful.

You can type anything you want - it's so YOU can identify which network it is.

Thanks for your answer. Is it totally correct though as on the profile box one has to assign a profile....after putting in the network name.... and the message I've found in Help says, Defined profiles also enable you to take advantage of automatic profile switching feature which is especially useful if you connect to various networks frequently (e.g. with a notebook). This is to do with the Firewall and not the antivirus.... I'm just a computer dummy (I admit it), but I have a feeling a network name/number has to be completed in the box then complete the profile therein.

The AVG firewall has its own method of uniquely identifying which network you are connected to, so once you have assigned a profile to a particular network, it will automatically switch to using that profile when it detects that you are connected to that network. As I said, the name that you give it is so that you can identify it, so the name is up to you.

Thanks rojash, I have done that and the profile box now doesn't come up. I just hope I have the correct settings for the firewall as I am not too sure how it all works.
