i spect so but in my opinion the oscars are over-valued.

after all, they are just the american film awards and usually contains sickening amounts of yank backslapping

Don't they usually get shown live on one of the Sky movie channels, then Beeb 2 shows edited highlights?

i didn't ask if i was allowed to watch it, mattk. usually, essjay1, it is on bbc2 live - ie 2.30am-6am our time, but for a few years sky have nicked it. i just wondered if anyone knew if it was going to be hi-jacked by sky or what. i'll find out nearer the time i'm sure.
Sky will be showing this years 2005 Oscars. The BBC will not be showing the live event. There was a story back in November about how Sky got the rites to show the 2005 Oscars.
