MM Links Solutions July 2008 [Week 1]

This first week in the present reign of Princess Pauline went as smooth as clockwork with a topical tennis theme. I can now reveal the chosen links were:

GARDEN Centre
Court JESTER
Grass HOPPER
Single CREAM

This proved to be a week for healthy scoring but with no-one breaking ahead of the field!

The first to fall with Entrant #1 was SINGLE CREAM when ulysses100 returned in record time with an early success to gain TWO POINTS. After a string of mis-hits, came a spurt of sharp shooters. At 09.03, forward entered as the COURT JESTER with two others in cliffyg & Dinkypuzzled immediately following for a trio of TWO POINTS.

Around this time, an early entry by wickedtongue captured (the devious) GRASSHOPPER for the third link to be spotted with the clock still on 09.03. In fact several entries were lodged at 09.04 to be TOO LATE for bonus points. Showing how swift the entries arrive in the opening session, burgess3334 was Entrant #20 and claimed GARDEN CENTRE with the clock still at 09.04.

There were many 2-pointers, but only one person was to find TWO hits and that was keyboardix who I nominate as HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK!
Well, at least WARM SHOT OF THE WEEK!!

Who in their right mind messes with single cream, it is like not having a real drink and having a shandy. Double cream on porridge with a spoonful of sugar and some salt, now that's a proper start to the full Scottish breakfast.

Better warn Sarumite that he will be sent down to the local garden centre to find some insecticide for grasshoppers and whilst he is eating his pudding with single cream he will expected to be the court jester.

Sarumite, beware, think Yorick.............

Thank you Princess Pauline. I absolutely knew that Grasshopper would be right - it sort of fell into the dragonfly category. The Owl man should have spotted that!
