My daughter's plumber has accidentally nicked a central heating pipe and caused considerable damage to the room below. Her insurance policy says she is covered for " [damage caused by] escape of water or oil from any fixed water or heating installation, or from any fixed domestic appliance." Will she be covered?
Hi there,
I would think she should be covered, but also, the plumber should have Public Liability insurance, and the responsiblity ultimately lies with him to put right.
Good luck!
Annie
Thanks mslyrical6. Had a good result with the assessor. Just as well - the plumber had no PLI.
As for noknowledge, not much in the line of manners either!
