Pill to stop your period

Has anyone taken the tablets that stop your period whilst your away on holiday? I'm not sure of its medical name. Did it mess up your periods afterwards?

just stay on the pill an extra week....you jst get a heavy one when you stop

My mate's 13 year old daughter took them cos her period was due when they were on holiday. Very useful with no side effects.

also - once you're on the pill you don't get periods as such, although they apprently feel like them...

If you're not on the pill already it takes a few weeks to get settled, so you might want to chat to your doc.

sorry I don't mean The Pill, I mean tablets you can take a few days before your period is due and it will stop your period for a short time eg a holiday.

no, I used these pills for a holiday in May and I was wondering if it messes up when you period is due.

no, if you still havent come on, and you have had sex, you are probly preggars.....

I had a period when I stop taking the pill after my holiday but no period for June (9days late now). Done 2 tests both were negative.

The tablet you are referring to is Norethisterone. I used this a couple of months ago, got my period within a day or so of stopping taking it.

I've used it too, its very good and just a stronger dose of the mini pill so there is no limits on how often you can take it. Just take it 3 days before your period is due and then stop when you no longer need to delay it. I was told that my period might be heavier after but if anything, it was lighter.
