Increased tensions with Russia
Has the USA provoked Russia into making a threat of military action if the siting of star wars missile systems goes ahead in Czechslovkia? Should the USA back off and lose face? Should the UK get involved in the dispute?

I am sure this sort of thing goes on all the time with all countries.
The next threat or possibly world war will most likely eminate from the middle east. They sould put the missile station there and let teh Russians do whatever they want to do to feel safe.

The Russians have not said who the military action would take place against. Hardly likely they would bomb Poland or the Czechs. But just as the USA would use Israel to bomb Iran I'm sure the Russians have similar plans to deploy friendly countries to do the work for them. Now that Chavez is arming himself to the teeth including submarines supplied by Russia who can say how safe the American population will feel close to their doorstep.
