In model car terms, roughly how long in inches is 1/18th scale?

Thanks!  Just was wondering as I thought it was either 6" or 12"  seems that it's nearer the 12" which is good.  Thanks!
Divide actual size by 18 to get the answer to your question. Just remember the unit of measurement so you don`t confuse feet and inches with metric sizes.

This is fun! My 4391 mm Touran multiplies down by 1/18 to make 243.9mm, which divided by 25.4 (conversion from mm to inches) = 9.6 inches!

The real buick must have been a long thing.

Yep!  The '49 Buick Roadmaster (in real-life) weighed 4,420 pounds and was 214 1.8 inches long... wheel base was 126 inches.  Powered by an inline (straight) eight cylinder overhead valve engine displacing 320.2 cubic inches which produced 150 horse power.  But it was the styling that was so beautiful.  On par with the classic styling of the early Bentley's...
