What you describe is termed postural drop meaning there is not enough blood being pumped up to the brain when you get up. It is quite common but should be checked out by your GP. There are many reasons for it. In the meantime, try tensing muscles and wiggling feet before getting up and see if that helps (causes the heart to pump faster/harder thus getting blood/oxygen up the the head)
Esomerprazole has a multitude of side effects of which dizziness is not uncommon. It the dizziness came on BEFORE taking the drug then one cannot blame the esomerprazole, BUT if it came on AFTER taking the drug, then that is the probable cause. Now, you have to decide if the dizziness is a price worth paying for the treatment and symptoms of your stomach problems.
My daughter has very low blood pressure and she suffers a lot from dizziness. They even took her into hospital because she fainted at the doctor But they just kept her in and then let her home again after two days. Just said it was low pressure. At the moment she has virtigo so is dizzy all the time when she stands up.
