Crop circles
17 Answers
Has anyone ever seen a crop circle or a photo of one that didn't have a path or a plough furrow or some other form of pathway through it? If so, I might be more inclined to believe that there's some mystery to them.

I apologise for the sarcasm, it is my attempt at humour seeing how reason failed with you. I don't mean to be offensive. If I have upset you, I genuinely apologise, I didn't mean to. I was trying to keep the discussion light-hearted.

Unfair and untrue because it hasn't been established. I didn't say that aliens create crop circles, but I did give my reasons for believing it's likely that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe, and to anyone who will take the trouble to read, to step outside of their limited mindset and their limited historical timeline, and to stretch their brain enough to comprehend, those reasons are entirely logical. (And if my dear colleague from R&S, Chakka, says they're logical, you'd better believe it! There's none more logical than him!! A veritable Mr Spock!!).
You say I won't listen to reason, but just where is the reason in your argument?. All you've done is to say it isn't so, and you haven't elaborated on that. As I said, arrogant man thinks he's the most intelligent, the most knowledgeable and the most technologically advanced being in the universe, but it's my belief that he couldn't be more wrong. 'I don't think this is possible, so therefore is isn't'. Now there's true logic for you!
You speak of evidence. Where's your evidence that intelligent life does not exist elsewhere in the universe? And since you're so keen to limit the science section to the subject of science (and quite rightly so) where's that overwhelming curiosity that scientists are usually endowed with?
Thank you for the apology, by the way. Accepted.

Naomi, at the risk of this evolving into another long, pointless conversation, let me respond to your last post: You state "Where's your evidence that intelligent life does not exist elsewhere in the universe? ". My answer is, I have no evidence. I am not making the claim that there is no other life. There may well be, I hope there is! Infact, I am not making any claims at all, I am not suggesting for one moment that I know all the answers, I am just looking at the available evidence, I am not arrogant as you suggest, I simply don't know. I am open-minded. I do, however, not BELIEVE that crop circles are created by aliens. This is the fundamental point I was making. I need some kind of evidence, not belief. Belief, (to me at least) is not a viable principle, in that it ignores evidence and observation. As I have previously stated, there is, to my satisfaction, plenty of evidence to show that human beings are responsible for intricate crop circles. Therefore I don't seriously need to investigate the idea that aliens are trying to communicate with us via the medium of cereal. That just not make sense to me. Lets just say we are never going to see eye-to-eye on this matter, you beieve in aliens, and although I would truly love to know they were visiting us, I need some evidence. Let's just move on, shall we?
