I am not very much into these things and by no means challenging what Jno said. I would go like this.

I think flight time from Afghanistan to CA should be around 15hrs roughly. That would make arrival at about 20:00 according to Afghanistan time. Then minus the time difference between Afghanistan and USA (West) is 12.50 hrs. So about 7.30 on Thursday morning. Perhaps.

most direct route from Kabul to LA is due north, over the pole & south to California, and around 6700mls.

At an average speed of 519mph (based on duration of BA's flight from LHR to NRT), 15hrs is a pretty good estimate.
