I have just found out my wife to be has NEVER seen ANY of the Star Wars movies or ANY of Lord of the Rings!!!!!
Worse still, she is UNSURE if she has seen any of the Rocky films and was unaware there are more than one Terminator!!!!!
Oh yes, Titanic has been seen a dozen times along with numerous other odious chick flicks and sickly films.
Don't get me wrong, I have often enjoyed a romantic comedy or chick flick, my personal favourite being Love Actually.
I have had many a night in with a cup of tea and a hob-nob enjoying the delights of Hugh Grant, but what the flip are the female of the species playing at when they completely and instantly dismiss ALL forms of sci-fi, fantasy or "man films"
Why women, why????????

New Zealand was nearly ruined by the constant reference to LOTR, it took some time to realise that the acronym was to film locations. I tried to read Tolkein many years ago, long before it gained such cult status and found it unreadable.

Id watch Pretty in Pink a millions times over before I went to see another Star Wars film. I love all the merchandise and games and ego but the films really are a let down.
On the whole Im not into that whole action thing, I love Star TRek but most sci-fi I can take or leave. Horror is what I really lve though.

I love sci fi over most other subjects, and have all the extended LOTR dvds. I have never and do not wish to see either the Rocky or Rambo films, and would be hard pressed to say how many of them there are - too many, probably!!
Action yes, violence, no.
Oh, and the only soap I follow is the Archers - hate soaps!!

Hate Titanic and avoid the majority of 'Chic-flik"
Love Star Wars (obviously, Sir Alec is in the 3 best ones)
Love LOTR trilogy. Never miss The Abyss when it's on.
Stephen King books and (most) films are great.
Se7en was excellent, but will watch most of Morgan Freenan's work.
Don't like Bond, much prefer Bourne.

If blokes wnat to punch seven kinds of fudge out of each other thats up to them but I don't want to watch it cos it don't interest me. I wouldn't stop any one else from watching a Rocky film though.
Titanic for me was a boring over the top 3 hours of mind numbing rot.
I love most forms of Si-Fi.
The only vaguely romantic film I have is Sense and Sensibility. And thats only cos it's the only book of its type I read at school.
Give me Pitch Black or 2010 any day.
Like a good Zombie film as well.
