Everytime I turn my pc on I have a hell of a job to get the printer to work usually having to instal it again if im lucky it works and then when i turn the pc off and on again it doesnt work i have the dreadfull vista windows system

Go to the website of your printer and download the driver for your particular model to run on Vista.

Might seem a bit daft but have you emptied your Recycle Bin lately? If it's too full it can cause problems.
