We are travelling to usa in september and need to buy travel socks, does anyone know which compression factor we need and if a particular brand/type are better than others T I A
The best thing to prevent dvt is to have a walk about every 45 minutes or so for at least 5 good minutes, as you need to keep the circulation going. Socks can help but don't do the job. You never see air hostesses wearing travel socks.
Hope you have a good flight and enjoy the US of A
hi there suppernanny! compression level required is 14-17mmhg. Both boots own and scholl have this! boots are a little cheaper! think all of their travel stuff is on 3 for 2. P.S if you choose the skin colored ones you get 2 pair, then of course you have the option of wearing dress or skirt!! A lot of people take low dosage aspirin (75mg) before long journeys.
