For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Smudge - your post was banned because it was potentially libellous. As one of this site's most regular users, I would expect you to understand that AB could not operate under the threat of a potentially destructive legal action.
Perhaps I should remind you that you, as writer of the contentious remarks, would also be liable to a defamatory action.
Please take more care in future when posting opinions on such matters. We do not want to have to ban one of our most enthusiastic contributors.
The is no "ulterior motive" in any of the AB moderation. We do not have time to excerise prejudices against people who are, let's face it, complete strangers.
Smudge - your remarks about OJ Simpson and other users' opinions on the royal family are clearly of a different nature.
If you cannot see that, then I suggest that in future you avoid controversy by refraining from posting your opinions on this website and stick to what it was created for: the exchange of hard facts.
smudge.......come back, calm down, keep the heid, etcetera etcetera etcetera. AB needs people like you.
I queried why one [the first ever] of my answers was banned and can`t get any sort of reasonable answer........ no what, where, why , how, when, who or whatever, someone thought it fell foul of AB rules but won`t explain why. What happened to telling the truth as you see it and debating the consequences?
Must admit to being shocked by the confrontational reply from the ED.
bernardo - Thanks, I had no idea what you had written.
I wrote that last night, I watched a programme on the Discovery Channel, which was all about the forensic evidence found in the OJ Simpson trial. I then went on to say more or less what you've written in the Pet Hates thread, but asking what others thought. It was banned. Why was it banned, if yours, although edited, remains? I rest my case.
Issues like this should be addressed directly by email to the AB Editor. Please use the "Email Us" link at the bottom of every page. I have contacted smudge personally in an effort to draw a line under this issue.
Bernardo - the item in "Pet Hates" to which you refer was edited quite some time ago, I'm afraid. Please have care when posting such remarks. Thank you.
