I took up a contract with Sky in Oct 07 the whole sky+, phone & Broadband package, it should have been for 43, 38 for my sky+ and 5 for the broadband, However i was told that my local exchange did not currently have Sky broadband set-up so they would have to rent it from BT for 2/3 months until they set-up at the exchange. this would cost an extra 12. I called sky last week to see why i'm still paying the higher price so late on & was told that they dont have their equipment set-up at my exchange and that they have no plans to do so!! I'm awaiting a reply from Sky about this but surely i've been mis-sold my broadband on the understanding that the rate would be reduced within a short period???

Have you got anything in writing or email referring to the short term higher payment?

NO, however when I raised the Query with the gentleman on the phone he said "i wish they would stop giving people estimated times for this as we never know when we will be setting up in exchanges" So they are aware of this kind of thing being said.
