I am going to the doctors tomorrow as i have found a lump under my arm, it does not hurt but ive been very stressed lately and wonder if it could be connected to that?, is it usual to need a consultation at hospital or are there things he is able to diagnose there and then?
It would certainly not be stress related and depending upon the physical examination by your Dr referral to hospital would be certain and essential. Try not to worry, as it probably is innocent e.g sebaceous cyst.
Best of luck BB. As others've said, it's probably nothing to worry about, but I can understand you being anxious about it. It's best to let someone at hospital take a look at it, because if there WAS anything untoward, then the sooner you get it treated, the better. Let us know how you get on. x
I once had a small pea sized lump under my arm and it was some kind of infected ingrowing hair... if i remember right i went on anti biotics and had to not shave for a few weeks!! it went away pretty quick. I just saw the GP. I think they can tell pretty quick by looking and feeling it if its potentially anything to worry about. best to get it checked to be on the safe side...
Sorry i wasnt able to get online last night. Well the doctor does not seem too worried, after a thorough examination he said he will check it again in 3 weeks. Although this ought to be some comfort i find im still worrying - and probably will until it is all concluded! I must say i have been particularly stressed lately and i do wonder if that could be the problem although i know some would not agree with that.
