Does anyone out there have a recipe for the Indian dish Chicken Puri? It's chopped chicken served in a red sweet sauce served on a chipatti?

Um - I suspect thattheonly way you'll get a recipe that matched your local Indian restaurarant is by asking them.

Puri is the name given to a deep fried dough; thats the disc of bread your chicken is on. I've noted a number of restaurants introducingthis dish over the past few years.

So you'vegot two parts. Some sort of chicken curry - sounds like chicken tikka masala from your description, on a puri

Heres a picture and recipe for making Puri -

There's numerous recipes for making CTM - its not authentic, being invented in Britain - this site gives a recipe and some background

First chop a chicken. Then add a red sweet sauce and serve on a chipatti. Voila! You now have chicken puri.
