repairing negatives
4 Answers
Is it possible to repair photographic negatives which have been cut up into pieces? All the pieces are there and the photographs have sentimental value. If so are there people who can do this and what is the name of the service, I have searched on the internet and not found anything.

Most image software have a simple negative function to 'flip' the colours, this would enable you to get the final photgraph. I don't know if this would work as I haven't tried it, but its got to be worth a shot.
Jessops might be able to do it for you, they do a service that repairs and updates old photo's http://www.jessops.com
I have a negative scanner and am happy to give it whirl for you if you're happy to trust Royal Mail with the pieces of negative. I've done a lot of restoration and enhancement of old family photo although never pieced together scanned negative fragment. Would make an interesting challenge.
