my 14 year old daughter has just been accepted by several modelling agencies, how do i choose which one is best to go with and is it standard to pay a fee for being on their register???

All the agencies that charge fees up front are a con! You could look like a chimpanzee and as long as you are willing to pay they will have you on their books (not that I'm saying your daughter isn't beautiful). I bet they want money for portfolios, money for updating pictures (which they suggest doing several times a year), money for this money for that!! It depends how desperate you are for your daughter to get discovered. Maybe I am just cynical but I tried it with my children and you had to pay out money hand over fist with no guaratee of any work.
Yep. Don't pay. A decent agency will get paid commission when they find work for the model.
