How do I customise a folder view in XP, and apply that view to all sub-folders? Bearing in mind that I require a high degree of customisation.
For example, within, say, a music folder for a particular album, I have the view set to 'details' (as opposed to 'list' or 'thumbnails') so that I can see specific details about the files in that folder (eg. Track no., duration, bit rate etc.) in a specific column order.
How do I apply this template to all other music folders?
If I right-click a folder (or even selected folders) and go into Properties > Customise, I get an option to "use this folder type as a template:" and a selection box with options such as 'Documents (for any file type)' or 'Photos (best for�..)' or 'Music (best for�..)' etc. None of these is suitable for what I want.
Is there any other way of mass-customising folders, or can I add my own customised folder-option to this pop-up list?

However, what I'm after is a way of applying one set of criteria to, say, music folders (where I want a full 'details' view of each file), a 'thumbnail' view to all photo folders, and perhaps date specific (created/modified/ etc) view to my work data.
The 'folder options' tab ends up applying your selected criteria to all folders indiscriminately.
