Hi,

I am after a temporary loan of around 10000, which I hope to pay off in around 6 months without paying a huge early redemption fee. I have tried to look around on the net, but not really understanding the jargon the banks use in their terms. I have no debt and a healthy income, but need some fast cash to finish repairs to my house. Does anybody have any idea of any banks/loans out there that will suit my requirements? Thanks xxx

An overdraft is by far the best solution in your case.

Or any of the 0% credit cards - try Virgin or MBNA.
pretty much any standard bank loan these days will not penalise early repayment. The rule of 78 is abolished, that's the old interest front loading system. Eg Lloyds for example just trreat it like an overdraft, they subtract your payment and add their interest each month, sorted. As ethel says though you should be able to get a 0% solution to this.
