Mr CRX plugged in his iphone and upgraded the firmware yesterday.

In doing so it wiped everything off of it.

Not a problem usually as we'd just reinstall all the songs and audio from the PC but he changed his PC 2 weeks ago so none of it was on PC (last one broke).

Hes looked at itunes and once a file has been purchased it appears that it cant be downloaded more than once so hes lost everything.

Is this right? or is there any way he can get back the audio files he bought

So he hadn't already transferred stuff to the new PC that he was using to upgrade his iPhone? In which case, it is Mr CRX's fault really.

But all is not lost. I believe you can contact Apple and inform them of the situation, and they'll let you re-download stuff that you've purchased from the Apple Store, for free.

he hadnt transfered the stuff from old PC as old PC had expried. Hence the new PC. There was no chance of rescuing anything from it.

Thanks for the advice though :)
Hi This sound like its a awful lesson learnt...the only thing to do to prevent this from happening again is by investing is a external hard drive to back up all your i-tunes photos etc etc..
