Organic apples

I bought organic apples recently which had the words "organic farm" printed in to the skin (not inked). Anyone know how this is done?

you get stickers printed with whatever you want them to say and stick them on the apples once they are full size but before they ripen.(I think that you may also have to put the apple in a bag so it doesn't ripen as it grows) then you let the apple ripen, then just before you sell it you peel off the sticker. There were ones aroung for halloween this year with witches and pumpkin faces on
